On September 8, 2020, Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the opening of the new Wikifin Lab in Brussels. After attending an academic session on the importance of financial literacy, the Queen visited the lab together with young people. In the Wikifin Lab, secondary school students can experience various financial situations of everyday life.
This digital and interactive center for financial education was established by the Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA). Contributing to the financial education of the population is one of the FSMA's legal objectives. To that end, the FSMA has set up a financial education programme known as Wikifin. The programme develops initiatives aimed at improving the population's financial literacy. The Queen wore a shirt dress from Natan.
