Princess Benedikte visited the exhibition Vigdis Finnbogadottir, The World's First Elected Female President at the North Atlantic House in Copenhagen
On Saturday 19 September 2020, Princess Benedikte visited the exhibition "Vigdis Finnbogadottir, The World's First Elected Female President" at the cultural center Nordatlantens Brygge (The North Atlantic House) in Copenhagen. The exhibition is about Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, who became the first elected female president in the world when she won the Icelandic presidential election on June 29, 1980.

Upon arrival, Princess Benedikte was welcomed by Director of North Atlantic Wharf Karin Elsubudóttir Heinesen and National Coordinator of The Olave Baden-Powell Society Marianne Karstensen. Through posters, photographs and film clips, Vigdís Finnbogadóttir's life and work as president and her efforts for increased dialogue and cooperation across borders and peoples are displayed.
