Imperfect Love, a Chinese remake of the 2010 Japanese TV drama
Mother, is set to hit Chinese online platforms soon, the TV show's official Weibo account announced Monday.
Starring renowned actresses Zhou Xun, Kara Hui and Angie Chiu and actor Huang Jue,
Imperfect Love is co-produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures and is set to be broadcast on video streaming platforms Tencent Video and iQiyi.
A trailer has been released for the 22-episode drama, without specifying the release date.
Mother boasts a score of 9.4 out of 10 on Chinese film review platform Douban based on 30,600 reviews. It follows an elementary school teacher who realizes that a female student is being abused by her mother. Her maternal instincts kick in and she decides to bring the girl into her own care.
