| On February 17, 2020, Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako held a reception at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo for athletes who received medals at the 2019 Winter Deaflympics in Italy. The 2019 Winter Deaflympics was the 19th edition of the Winter Deaflympics, and was held between December 12 and 21 in 2019 in Sondrio Province of Northern Italy. During the reception, the Emperor gave a speech. |
