On the morning of November 21, 2019, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met with nominees and finalists of the Tusk Conservation Awards. The Duchess of Cambridge was scheduled to attend the event with her husband, but due to an undisclosed matter regarding their children, Prince William attended the event alone. The Tusk Awards honor those who project Africa’s wildlife. The Duke of Cambridge has been a patron of the Tusk charity, which supports conservation intervention in Africa, for over a decade.
