| On November 26, 2019, Queen Letizia received “Award of the Observatory against Domestic and Gender Violence 2019”, in the category "Most outstanding personality", at the headquarters of the General Council of the Judiciary in Madrid. The Queen was deemed worthy of the award for her commitment in the struggle against domestic and gender violence and the support she provided to the victims. The Observatory against domestic and gender violence plays an effective role in analysing the response of the justice system to this criminal phenomenon. The General Council of the Judiciary is the constitutional body that governs all the Judiciary of Spain. |
