| On the second day of their visit to Ibaraki Prefecture, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited Hitachi to watch the National Sports Festival's table tennis competition held at Ikenokawa Sakura Arena. Afterwards, The Emperor and Empress visited popular resort Kokumin-shukusha Unomisaki and then visited Hitachi City's Forestry Research Institute's tree breeding center. After these visits, The Emperor and Empress returned to Tokyo by the Imperial train. |
