| On August 23, 2019, Queen Sonja of Norway attended the final of 'Queen Sonja International Music Competition 2019' (QSIMC 2019) held at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet in Oslo, Norway. Baritone Sergey Kaydalov from Russia won first prize of the competition in which six finalists took part. Queen Sonja presented the prizes. Sergey Kaydalov was awarded the first prize of € 50.000. The second prize of € 10.000, went to Baritone Stefan Astakhov from Germany, and the third prize of € 5.000 went to Baritone Adam Kutny from Poland. |
