On August 22, 2019, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden visited Simrishamn Municipality together with the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (Vattenmyndingheten) in order to get more information about ghost nets. There are hundreds of kilometers of ghost nets on the seabed of the Baltic Sea and these nets are a death trap for the animals. Ghost net is a lost fishing net that dropped to the bottom of the sea. After that visit, Crown Princess Victoria visited Simris Alg in Hammenhög. (Crown Princess Victoria wore a new linen blazer by Lexington.) |
