| On July 4, 2019, Britain's Queen Elizabeth II visited Gorgie City Farm in Edinburgh on the final day of Holyrood Week 2019. Gorgie City Farm was a waste depot until the 1930s, and later a civil defence training area during the war - it has now been transformed into an outdoor resource. The farm grows a range of fruit and veg, and even supplies some local shops and restaurants with its produce. |
