| On February 7, 2019, King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain chaired the Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Theatre Foundation at Royal Theatre in Madrid. The King and The Queen are honorary presidents of the Foundation. The Board of Trustees of Teatro Real is the main organ which represents the government and the Foundation, and it holds a meeting at least five times in a year.
