| On December 4, Queen Mathilde attended UNESCO Global Education Meeting held at Egmont Palace in Brussels. The purpose of that meeting is to emphasize especially quality education right and to introduce SDG 4 (Sustainable Development Goal 4). The Queen who is a defender of UN's Sustainable Development Goals attaches particular importance to education and its connections to other SDGs. The Queen gave an opening speech at the meeting. In the opening speech, the Queen emphasized the importance of a quality education, the need of education for girls and spoke about inclusive and accessible education.
