
(China Plus) Chinese director Vivian Qu has received the 'Director of the Year' award from China Film Directors Guild for her film 'Angels Wear White', which centers around a child sexual assault case.

Veteran director Feng Xiaogang's 2017 film 'Youth' has won the 'Movie of the Year' award from the China Film Directors Guild.

Zhou Dongyu has earned the jury's 'Actress of the Year' award for her work in 'This is Not What I Expected'.
The Guild's panel of jury, led by film director Zhang Yimou, included filmmaker Zhang Jianya, producer Li Shaohong and actress Zhao Wei.
The China Film Directors Guild gives out its honors every year to promote excellence in cinema in China.
This year's awards took place last weekend in Beijing.
