If the information is true, it will be the group’s first reunion since their last performance on Jiangsu Television’s New Year Performance in 2013.
According to an insider who has a friend working on CCTV’s New Year programme, she saw the four members of F4 - Jerry Yan, Vanness Wu, Ken Chu and Vic Chou - rehearsing for a performance together.
While the insider shared that the line-up for the New Year Gala is not confirmed, and is unsure what song the group will sing, netizens guessed that the quartet will perform their iconic song ‘Meteor Rain’.
In an interview last May, Jerry Yan once shared his excitement to perform as four again. “Wouldn’t it be great to see the four of us sing Meteor Rain again?” the 41-year-old singer expressed.
Besides the possible reunion of F4, the New Year Gala show is also revealed to have invited Chinese singers Faye Wong and Na Ying, Hong Kong actresses Angie Chiu and Cecilia Yip, as well as Taiwanese boy band Little Tigers to grace the event.
