(Toggle) Hong Kong actor-singer Andy Lau organised an advanced birthday celebration with his fans last Saturday (Sep 16). The party was a success, with everyone enjoying themselves as well as good friends Sandra Ng and Ronald Cheng making guest appearances.
Fans were glad to see Andy back on his feet after announcing that he was 100 percent recovered in August. He suffered a fall off the back of horse in January which caused him to leave showbiz for the first half of the year and cancel his year-end concerts.
However the singer promised to perform next year and it seems that he is keeping his word as he gave fans a mini concert at the party, with him singing and dancing. However, some were still worried and asked him to take it slow and not exert so much energy during his energetic dancing.
A video showing Andy’s road to recovery was also played during the event. It showed his Malaysian former beauty queen wife, Carol Chu, constantly being by his side together with his 5-year-old daughter Hanna, who could be seen giving him massages and helping him wash his feet. This came as a relief to many that he had people around him to aid in his recovery as it was previously reported that his help was limited in his all-female household.
Andy turns 56 on Sep 27 and is currently appearing in the action movie, The Adventurers which is now showing in cinemas.
