Morning ladies I thought we'd talk all things beauty today & in particular tips for the holiday season.
You'll probably know by now that I'm a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury & I haven't yet tried a product of hers that I not only love but that hasn't found a permanent place in my daily skin & beauty regime. So when I was asked if I'd like to review her Gift of Red Carpet Skin Travel Kit, I have to admit I was over the moon. Not only because it will be ideal for our forthcoming summer holidays & make travelling light a much easier task but it also contains some of my favourite products as well as new ones I've been dying to try.
The kit comes in a handy make up bag & features the Goddess Skin Clay Mask, which is already a firm weekly favourite for me & just perfect for a tightening pores & cleansing my skin after a day applying suncream.
Together with the can't live without Wonderglow, which if you haven't tried it you must! I really would be lost without this light reflecting face primer, which I wear daily underneath my tinted moisturiser.
The Supermodel Body, which I personally generally wear on nights out & of an evening on holiday as it's ideal for highlighting legs & arms due to it's slimming body shimmer that's also the perfect accompanyment to a tan.
The Multi Miracle Glow, which as well as being a cleanser also doubles up as a balm & mask & is packed with Vitamin A to improve the skin's firmness, Vitamin C to promote youthful skin & Vitamin E to moisturise & fight free radicals.
Plus her Magic Cream mosituriser that is a mulit tasking anti-ageing cream that stimulates collagen production as well as plumping & rehydrating the appearance.
And finally the Take It All Off eye makeup remover.
So as you can see the kit contains everything you need for your skincare whilst you're away in easy travel sized bottles. It really is the perfect little treat for your holiday & ideal for ensuring your skin remains pampered & cared for whilst enjoying sunny climates & hot, humid temperatures.
Of course there's also a few extra products that always have a home in my suitcase, although one I've yet to try, but will be ordered once my normal daily facial tan runs out is Charlotte's Overnight Bronze & Glow Mask, which based on her other products I have high hopes for. Plus I reckon it would be perfect for applying whilst on holiday to create a sunkissed look to your face without having to worry about sun damage.
Talking of tanning, if you're looking for a good weekly self tan I can highly recommend this one above. Yes it does tend to come off on the bed sheets but it gives the most natural tan that I've found. I'm always being asked if my tan is real or fake & have been using this product for years, just make sure you apply with a tanning mitt!
Onto make up now & a couple of make up 'must have' products for me are Charlotte's bronzer and blush sticks, which are available in a several different blusher shades here. I've taken the above two sticks away with us the past couple of years & they really are ideal for an easy & quick holiday routine & just so easy to blend with your fingertip.
Moving onto nail polish & if you don't want the upkeep or cost of gel nails then you should definitely give these Super Gel polishes a go. I generally have gel applied to my fingernails but I've tried these on my toes & not only do they have a great shine, they've also worn really well. Easy to apply, just a two stage application - 2 coats of colour followed by the top coat but most importantly no chipping or flaking. In fact in the end I had to remove my polish after just over 3 weeks as I fancied a change even though the polish looked as good as the first day I had applied it & despite the fact you don't use a base coat there was no staining or discolouring of the nail.
Plus removal is nice & easy with a simple acetone polish remover such as the one I use above & of course no UV lamp.
Finally onto haircare & one thing I was asked a lot about last year whilst we were on holiday was how my hair still looked so straight & shiny in the humidity. Well it's not because I'm blessed with hair that I can simply leave to dry flat & straight - oh how I wish! Oh no, my hair is the complete opposite, it only just has to get a whiff of moisture & I can feel it starting to lift & frizz. However, thanks to the above product, which I use daily, it is much improved & on holiday as long as I add an extra squirt to my normal amount & make sure my hair is completely dry at least 20 minutes before leaving our air conidtioned room, generally it will behave.
Although I will also add an extra layer or two of hairspray to help weight it down.
Back to today & today is all about simple dressing with a floral maxi that for a change I've styled with a belt.

So ladies those are my swear by products for travelling aboard & coping with the heat & humidity but what are yours? I'd love to hear if there's anything you wouldn't travel without or any tips or tricks you've got up your sleeve.
I've decided to keep my Travel Kit to use when we're away but I'd love to hear your thoughts on Charlotte's Multi Miracle Glow & Magic Cream. Not to mention the Overnight Bronze & Glow Mask if you've given it a whirl. In the meantime don't forget you can find my daily skin & beauty care here & here & my hair care tips here.
Back as always in the morning.
