Morning ladies. Today I wanted to look at bags of the basket variety after gaining a spot of inspiration on a recent trip to London.
Come summer holidays I love a basket shopper just as much as the next person & seem to have amassed quite a collection. Ideal for holding the fresh bread & all the other goodies from the local market, not to mention the perfect beach bag but once back home my collection of baskets rarely gets used part from on picnics & I would never think to use one whilst shopping in the city. Well that was until recently when I spotted an incredibly stylish lady down Regent Street with a huge straw shopper styled basket that would be perfect come holiday season but equally looked uber stylish & not at all out of place on a dull, wet day in the centre of London.
As a result I'm now using my baskets whilst shopping whether that be at a local farmers market or if I'm popping into the centre of Birmingham & you know what it feels good. Not only are they timeless & super stylish they bring to the forefront memories of summer holidays, blue skies & sunny days, which can only be a good thing.
Needless to say there's lots of stunning beauties currently available on the high street that are tempting me - from timeless classics, to statement clutches to embroidered or pom pom customised ones, as you can see from my edit of the best around this season. I must admit some of the pom pom beauties are certainly tempting & as always if you want further information just click on any of the images above.

So ladies what are your thoughts on baskets? Are you a basket lover & if so do you like me seem to collect them on your travels & then fail to maximise their use once back home? Or perhaps you've always used a basket shopper for shopping no matter whether that be local or in the city. Me I'm definitely intending to start getting the use out of mine. Plus I have a cunning plan for when I spot another beauty on holiday - surely now I'm using mine it means hubby can't reply with his normal response that I have enough & don't use the ones I've got ;-)
