(Toggle) Taiwanese supermodel-turned-actress Lin Chiling was spotted having dinner with her family and Yang Ren Pei (also known as Chris), a Taiwanese singer based in New York, on Christmas Day last year at Regent Taipei hotel. The actress was said to have first met Chris at his private concert last October when she attended it with Taiwanese host Kevin Tsai.
The sighting sparked rumours that they are currently dating each other, which was confirmed by an informant. However, the 42 year-old actress squashed rumours that she is seeing someone new through her manager.
“It seems like the informant knows more than I do. He (referring to Chris) is just my newly acquainted friend who I met during the concert last year. Thank you for your concern, happy new year,” she said.
Chris enjoys Jazz music and was dubbed the “Chinese Michael Buble” by his mentor, Taiwanese music producer, Wang Zhi Ping. The 41-year-old is said to be a good match for Chi-ling due to his height (he towers at 1.8 metres) and good looks.
However, fans of Chiling are hoping that the rumours are false as said informant also shared that Chris is playboy because he was spotted with an air stewardess and numerous different ladies during his stay at Regent Taipei.
In response to the criticisms of Chris’ flirtatious habits and behaviour, the actress said, “I’m not too sure about this. Like I said, we are newly acquainted friends”.
