(CRI) A new Chinese romantic comedy, Some Like It Hot, starring famous Chinese comedian Xiao Shenyang and South Korean pop star Clara Lee, is due for release before the end of the year.
The film is called Qingsheng in Chinese, and is slated for release on December 30.
South Korean pop star Clara Lee portrays a sexy model, who attracts the male lead to chase her by every possible means. When the male lead acted by Xiao Yang, goes to his close friend for advice, a series of funny, bizarre events take place.
Xiao Shenyang joked about his part as Xiao Yang's buddy in the movie.
"I often misguided him with bad ideas."
Also, two famous Chinese comedy stars Yan Ni and Dai Lele join the acting lineup.
The movie was jointly directed by two cinema photographer-turned directors Song Xiaofei and Dong Xu.
