Mumbai, 15th Nov 2016:
Individuals whose freedom has been taken away from them – a hen in an egg factory cage, an elephant in a circus, a monkey in laboratory restraints – rely on compassionate human beings like you to help them. PETA a non-profit American based Animal Rights Organization and Mumbai’s largest destination of Art, The Art Hub at Atria mall are coming together for a fund raiser event followed by a one-of-its-kind art show to showcase collection of paintings, photographs & sculptures on the theme, ‘Art for Animals’ from 20th Nov to 30th Nov 2016.
Mr. Ravindra Mardia, Founder & Director, The ART Hub & ICAC shares, “ICAC has always aimed to bring about high quality art and high quality arts experience to serve the people of India by fostering arts of the highest quality through investment, research and advocacy. The art works based on the theme ‘Art for Animals’ is a step towards this advocacy where 50 works from artists from all across the country will showcase their works. The works are hand-picked by International Creative Art Centre (ICAC) and 20% of the proceeds will be given to PETA. This is something which is taking place for the very first-time in Mumbai”
The select gathering on the event day will see several dignitaries coming together for an inspiring talk by PETA’s founder, Ingrid Newkirk to support the PETA’s work to promote cruelty-free living. The talk will highlight on Animal Welfare and will appeal the gathering to support the cause. The Donation will be matched rupee for rupee by a group of generous donors. PETA is hoping to reach a target of Rs 5 lakhs, which, with the matching funds, will be doubled to Rs 10 lakhs in support of our vital work to help animals
To create awareness, the 10-day art show will exhibit paintings & photographs by artists like Jaidev Biswal, Bandana Kumari, Deepak Shinde, Vikas Singh, Devji Shrimali, Deepak Ambuj, B. R. Karthik, C. S Kale, Gayatri Dhanthuri, Photographs by Ravindra Mardia on Wild Life Sanctuaries and more.
