This area where the building stands is in fact very near to my office. But I rarely go out and walk during lunch breaks when I am in Amsterdam, however, on this particular sunny September day, I decided to take a walk with my camera.
The apartment is located on Jan van Galenstraat not too far away from the Westerpark. I find this building really catchy. I like it. From time to time I do post cool and interesting architecture that I find locally and during my travels in this blog.
The building complex has 82 apartments divided into 2 towers and each tower has its own lift. The architects behind this building are Sjoerd Soeters and Jos van Eldonk of Soeters Van Eldonk Architects.
Would you like to live here? The apartments are for rent. Looks like the top floor apartments will have great views of the city. Check them out here: Funda - De Piramides
Modern Dutch architecture translated: The 17th century step gable design (trapgevel).
I like big glass windows that open to the world.
Would you live here?
